Part One of our California Trip

I’ve been really neglecting personal blogs lately. It feels good to take time to share more of my life on the blog again. Earlier this month Chris, Ava and I headed to California.

Some of you may know that I was born and raised in California. The state will always have a piece of my heart. I couldn’t wait to share some of my favorite parts of California with my family.

In a one week span we went to San Francisco, the Bay Area, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Pebble Beach, Carmel by the Sea, Mariposa, Yosemite, Calaveras Big Trees State Park and Lake Tahoe. This may seem like a ridiculous feat but we loved it! We got to see so many of our family and friends and and experience places that left us with memories for a lifetime.

We witnessed the beauty of the San Francisco Bay, the coastline of California, shooting stars, the incomparable sights of Yosemite, giant sequoias, National and state parks, forests, snowy mountain tops in August, perfect weather and the clear blue water of Lake Tahoe. I love living in North Carolina but oh how I had missed California.
