Rachel & Devin are Married!

Rachel and Devin were married last Saturday at The Brawley Estate in Mooresville, NC. I have been looking forward to this day since the moment I met them. They are the most amazing couple and their wedding day could not have been more perfect.

Rachel and Devin met 8 years ago while they were both attending different colleges. They ended up at the “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” midnight premier. Rachel said she was excited and Devin was dragged there by a friend of his. A sweet touch on their wedding day was to include a song made popular by the Twilight movies called “River Flows in You” by Yiruma. Rachel had this playing during her processional.

Rachel and Devin were friends for 3 years before dating. Their first date was a Blake Shelton Concert. Devin bought tickets as a surprise for Rachel. Dan + Shay were the opening band and Rachel is a huge fan! They arrived late and missed Dan + Shay but they ended up having their first kiss at the concert!

Rachel and Devin have had to live long distance for most of their 5 year relationship so they would meet in different cities and explore. Two years ago they met up in Savannah, GA. Devin proposed along the waterfront in downtown Savannah just as the sun was setting! To see more of them click here for their Greensboro Arboretum engagement.

All of the wedding day festivities took place at the lovely Brawley Estate. Kristin and I started the day with Rachel and her bridesmaids. They were wearing adorable matching pajamas and drinking champagne! Rachel was one of the happiest and easy going brides I have ever seen.

When Rachel was ready to get into her dress Kristin headed over to hang out with Devin and his groomsmen. There were a few beers and lots of laughs. All of the men had real bowties to tie and Devin showed them each how to do it! I’m a huge fan of bowties and they looked so good.

After Rachel and Devin were finished getting ready we headed outside for their first look. They were both so excited and had the biggest smiles. These two share the sweetest love.

The ceremony was set in the lawn overlooking the estate and the large fountain out front. Rachel and Devin were married under a beautiful wooden arbor covered in flowers. As Rachel walked down the aisle towards Devin he was overcome with emotion. It was a beautiful moment to witness. During the vows Rachel was also overcome with emotion. Happy tears and laughs make for my favorite ceremonies!

We headed out for some sunset photos and then Rachel and Devin were announced as husband and wife. They celebrated all night with the people they love the most! At the end of the reception they had one final dance alone to “Lover” by Taylor Swift. Then they said goodbye to everyone with a gorgeous sparkler exit!

We were blessed with the best weather all day long. It was sunny and warm with occasional clouds. Rachel and Devin had the best day ever! They picked the most amazing venue, vendors and friends and family to be with them.
