I can’t wait to share this amazing wedding with you all. I had so much fun! I have known Erica for years and I was privileged to be able to photograph her special day. Erica has supported my photography since I have started and has been one of the sweetest friends throughout this journey.
Erica and her husband Matt have so much love for each other. Once you get to know them you can see that they are truly best friends as well as partners. They support each other and trust each other through the good times and the bad. They waited for years for this day and it was well worth it! Erica and Matt have a beautiful daughter Madelyn and they are an adorable family of three.
When I arrived at Walnut Lane the morning of the wedding Erica was calm and collected. She stayed that way even through a high chance of thunderstorms, the chaos of organizing a bridal party of 13, her husbands missing bowtie and tending to her daughter during the day!
The details she and her friends put into the wedding and reception were beautiful and I had so much fun photographing them. I loved the handmade bouquets and the monogram robes for the bridesmaids. This classic southern wedding had so many adorable finishing touches. Just wait till you see her Madelyn’s little cowboy boots!
The ceremony was set in a beautiful location on the property and the clouds were out to make it look even better in the pictures! Right before the wedding started I looked up to see Erica staring out the window of the house looking at the guests arriving. She looked so beautiful and it was one of my favorite photos of the day. See if you can spot her in the window of the house in two of the photos. When their daughter Madelyn, the flower girl, was walking down the aisle she saw her Dad standing there and ran yelling “Dada” to him and hugged him. That was a real tearjerker moment for me.
As soon as the ceremony was over we took pictures of the entire bridal party and they were so much fun! They had me laughing the whole time. Erica & Matt were surrounded by friends and family who love them and wanted them to have an amazing wedding. The men were even plotting their plans for the night. The reception was under a beautiful white tent and thank goodness it was because thunderstorms came rolling through. They danced the night away and Madelyn was the center of it all. That girl loves to dance just like her Mama! DJ Dean was awesome and even had a sparkling light up ring to give to Madelyn. Erica & Matt finished off the night with a gorgeous sparkler exit.
