Lily and Luke were married last Saturday at the stunning Willstella Farm in Kernersville, NC. This is one of my favorite wedding venues. Lily and Luke picked the perfect place to become husband and wife!
Lily and Luke are high school sweethearts! They met their sophomore year on the debate team. I love this so much. I was also on the debate team in high school so this is one of my favorite things!
For their first date they ate pizza and played putt-putt. I don’t think you could plan a more perfect first high school date! They ended up dating throughout high school and attending different colleges. The distance didn’t stop their love and they both graduated in May.
Next month would be their six year anniversary of dating! They have such a sweet proposal story. Luke took Lily to five different locations that were special to them. There was a rose at each one. At the last location he asked her to be his wife!
Lily and Luke compliment each other perfectly. They are both calm, compassionate people who love being around each other. They both have a strong love for God and deep bonds with their family and friends. If you want to see more of them click here for their Kernersville, NC engagement session at Clodbuster Farms.
Rachel and I started the day in the farmhouse on the property. Both the girls and the guys were getting ready in separate areas. Lily and the ladies were finishing getting their hair and makeup done and laughing a lot! Lily and Luke were both so relaxed but excited!
The girls had the most adorable matching robes and Lily had a beautiful white one. We went outside to take a few pictures of them! They are the sweetest group and all of them were so positive and happy throughout the day.
Rachel went to take pictures of Luke and his groomsmen. They were such an awesome group of guys too. Lily and Luke picked the perfect people to be by their side on their big day!
After taking photos of Lily and her bridesmaids and Luke and his groomsmen it was time for the ceremony. Lily walked down the aisle holding on to her Dad’s arm smiling the whole time. Luke was all smiles too! These two are meant for each other.
The ceremony at Willstella was in front of the barn with a large cross behind them. They decided to take communion together for their first act as husband and wife. They kissed and walked back down the aisle united as one!
We were blessed with good weather all day. The clouds rolled in right after their ceremony and helped us get some beautiful sunlit and glow filled pictures. Some of my favorites are right in front of the farmhouse!
Once Lily and Luke were announced they enjoyed their first meal together and then cut the cake. Lily works at one of the most amazing bakeries called Maxie B’s in Greensboro. Her cake and cupcakes were from there and they were absolutely delicious. Lily was the most skilled cake cutting bride I’ve ever seen!
After their first dances and speeches we snuck out for a few more pictures. One of my favorites from this was of them sitting under a bright pink tree as the blossoms fell around them (with a little help from a branch shaker). Lily and Luke were so easygoing and carefree on their wedding day. They are amazing people and an amazing couple!
They returned to the reception for a little more dancing. The entire day they were surrounded by their closest family and friends. Everyone said goodbye by blowing bubbles at them!
Lily and Luke thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your big day. I feel truly honored to have a small part in your love story. I hope you had the most amazing honeymoon in Florida and that you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
