Rosemary and David were married last Saturday at The Hideaway at Crooked Creek in Whitsett, NC. It was such an incredible day filled with happiness. I am so lucky to be able to serve couples like Rosemary and David on the day they say their vows.
When Rosemary first contacted me she said their wedding was going to be earthy and vintage. I think it lives up to that theme and more. I seriously wish Rosemary would start a wedding planning business. I think she did a stunning job with all the details.
Rosemary and David first met in High School over 15 years ago. They had one date but it took over a decade for them to have a second date! Less than a year after that second date David asked Rosemary to be his wife.
They were at Yellowstone National Park when David proposed and it fits them perfectly. They are an adventurous couple who loves being outdoors. They appreciate the little details.
Speaking of details, Rosemary and David brought a piece of Yellowstone with them to their engagement session. It was metal re-creation of the Yellowstone national park sign. You can find the pictures of their Pilot Mountain Engagement here.
They also had so many amazing details on their wedding day. One of the sweetest details was a rendering of the Yellowstone sign with R & D EST. 2018 written on it. David wore leather suspenders that were stamped with it. He even had them made for each of his groomsmen with the sign and their initials as well.
The Hideaway at Crooked Creek was a perfect location for these two to get married. The weather was sunny and warm all day and everything flowed perfectly. We started off the day at the house while the ladies were getting ready.
Rosemary and her girls were listening to some N’Sync radio although Rosemary’s favorite is the Backstreet Boys! So we definitely got to listen to them too. Rosemary was such a calm and relaxed bride.
After the girls got ready we headed to see David and his guys. They were hanging out in the cabin on the property and they all tied their own bowties and attached their boutonnieres for each other. I was pretty impressed!
After some pictures Rosemary and David got to open their letters and gifts from each other. A few happy tears were shed and they were ready for the ceremony. The ceremony overlooked acres of trees and had the most gorgeous blue sky backdrop.
Some of my favorite pictures of the day are Rosemary and David walking down the aisle right after they wed. Their joy was infectious. They carried that through to their bride and groom photos.
These two really know how to be sweet, tender, loving, funny and caring. I’m so impressed with how well they balance each other. It shows in all their pictures.
After the most gorgeous bride and groom photographs we headed to their reception. They danced, ate, talked, cut cake and listened to speeches. Their reception was so intimate and as dusk spread we snuck out for a few more pictures.
The night ended with my first Chinese lantern release! Did I mention how exceptional this wedding was?
Rosemary and David I hope you had a great time at your Biltmore honeymoon. You two deserve it! Thank you again for trusting me to capture your memories. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
