Charley Elizabeth was born on December 9th and she is already so loved! I met this sweet little girl at her house last weekend and she was inquisitive, with big sweet eyes, chubby cheeks and a strong cry. You can tell this one has spunk already. The quote “though she be but little, she is fierce” applies to her. She knows what she likes and doesn’t like. She doesn’t like diaper changes or getting dressed. She likes being held by her family and getting love from her dogs Cooper and Kobe. Her Grandma Maryanne was there for the session and you can tell Charley will be spoiled in a beautiful way. She is the first grandchild for both sets of grandparents!
Charley broke in about every item in her brand new gorgeous nursery by spitting up on it. I felt so bad! Every time I moved her she would spit up again! Her Mom Daley (who you literally cannot tell just had a baby a few days ago) was like “we can just wash everything” and laughed it off! Thank goodness for our moms. What would we do without them? After she got done with dirtying up her room Charley was milk drunk and slept the rest of the time. She even allowed us to pose her under her tree and they are some of my favorite newborn pictures yet. I love Christmas, can every session please be a Christmas one? Charley’s Dad Matt even got to show off his patented ‘Charley football hold.’ Check it out below!
I shoot lifestyle newborn sessions because they are authentic. They are spontaneous and creative and capture a moment in time that is fleeting but so impactful. You never get these days back and I hope these early memories will be cherished as Charley grows. Thank you to Daley and Matt’s friends who purchased this session as a gift to them and thank you to the McCanns for trusting me into your home to capture your memories. I hope you enjoy these photos as much a I enjoyed taking them:
