Facebook just notified me that I posted pictures of these two a year ago today! It was a couples beach session right before they got engaged. So much has changed in a year! These two wonderful people were married on Saturday and I was lucky enough to be there for the whole day. My friends Christina & Philip wed in Wilmington, NC at the Coastline Convention Center. They were surrounded by friends and family who love them. I teared up seeing the first look between Christina and her Dad, Christina walking down the aisle, her first dance with her husband and her sister Stephanie’s amazing speech. There were so many emotions during this wedding with love and laughter everywhere! It was a beautiful day and I swear we had every kind of weather North Carolina has to offer during the summer from sunny to partly cloudy to rainy to windy and don’t forget humid! The bride and groom seemed relaxed the whole day and didn’t stress about the weather at all, they were just happy to be married! I don’t think you can tell any of the changes in weather from the pictures either!

Christina & Philip used the cord of three strands during their wedding ceremony. This is a symbol of the sacred union that was created during their marriage. One strand signifies the bride, one signifies the groom and the third God. See below for the picture of this beautiful tradition. Another special part of their wedding day was that Philip built the arbor that they got married under! After they were married Christina & Philip were walking down the River Walk to take more pictures and the wind made the bottom of Christina’s dress float! It looked like they were walking on clouds. It was absolutely beautiful! Once inside the reception everyone had such an amazing time. They danced, laughed and celebrated the marriage of these two awesome people! I just loved seeing Christina’s Grandma and Grandpa dancing and celebrating with everyone. We captured a really cute picture of them kissing too! Thank you both for letting me take part in your special day. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
