There’s just something so special about a mother-daughter relationship! I think I’m partial to it because I have a daughter. I absolutely loved this shoot. Amanda and her daughter Shay Marie were so much fun and we laughed a ton!

We started at the Visitor’s Center at Old Salem in Winston Salem. We traveled through the Heritage Bridge and chased the fading sun. These two were so easygoing and free spirited. I loved their dresses and the henna designs. They got some henna done at Carowinds and then bought more to do at home. Shay even decorated her own hand!

They are moving later this month so that Shay can start her senior year in South Dakota. She wants to attend both Blackhill State University and South Dakota State Univeristy with a major in architecture and a minor in music. Shay has a bright future ahead of her! Amanda and I work together and she is a talented nurse and I will miss her smiling face, sweet spirit and positivity.
