Kelsey and Adam were married last week at The Lofts at Union Square in High Point, NC. They wed on Friday the 13th and took all the superstition and turned it into an amazing day! These two are truly meant to be together.
Kelsey and Adam met online. Adam is a cook so for their first date he cooked dinner for breakfast. They had Eggs Benedict and mimosas so he could show off his skills!
Adam picked one of the most beautiful spots in North Carolina to propose. They were vacationing in Asheville and visited the Biltmore. Adam had a picture taken as he got down on one knee with the estate in the background and asked Kelsey to be his wife.
Kelsey and Adam’s wedding officiant described them as a quirky couple. I love this so much. I think when people are truly themselves they are quirky. Kelsey and Adam are down to earth, loving, funny and unique.
As a couple they love and support each other. You can see how much they care for each other in everything they do. If you’d like to see more of them check out their Pilot Mountain engagement session here.
We arrived to the Lofts and hung out with Kelsey and her girls first. Kelsey called herself a “bridechilla” instead of a “bridezilla” and this was a perfect way to describe her. She breezed through any hiccups that were thrown her way during this day.
Kristin headed to get some pictures of the guys and Adam was ready to see his bride. I love when couples choose to do a first look before the ceremony. You know the wedding day jitters will be gone as soon as they see each other!
Before their first look they exchanged gifts and letters. Adam got Kelsey a beautiful Pandora necklace and Kelsey got Adam a watch and cologne! Kelsey then had a private moment with her Mom where she changed into her dress and her details. She carried her grandfather’s handkerchief with her the whole day.
Kelsey was so excited to see Adam. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride run towards her groom so fast! I love the way these two love each other.
After the first look we took some gorgeous bride and groom photos. The loft has beautiful naturally lit areas inside where we could stay cool so we did the bridal party photos there as well. My favorite pictures are of Kelsey and Adam with the flower girls and the ring bearer. Kids share in my enthusiasm about wedding days!
The ceremony was full of happy tears and laughter. Star Wars was a subtle theme throughout their relationship and wedding day. Adam actually proposed on May the 4th (may the force). Adam and his groomsmen wore Star Wars themed socks. During the ceremony the officiant even imitated a Darth Vader voice which had us all laughing.
The reception was so much fun! They had an awesome DJ, a really cool photo booth and they danced the night away. We snuck out for some sunset photos and I’m so happy we did.
Kelsey and Adam had a final dance alone in the reception space surrounded by candles. The DJ set up one of my favorite pictures. Adam dipped Kelsey and kissed her during the end of the dance. I know they will treasure this moment forever. They exited under the light of glowsticks held by all their family and friends.
Kelsey and Adam I am so happy for you both. Thank you for trusting me to capture your memories. I hope you are having the time of your lives in Jamaica and that you love these photos as much as I loved taking them!
