Jessie & Tanner are Married!

Jessie and Tanner’s Barn at Cranberry Creek wedding last Saturday was incredible. I have only known Jessie and Tanner for a short time now but I feel like it has been a lot longer. They are both such genuine, kind people and I feel so lucky to have met them.

The Barn at Cranberry Creek is a gorgeous new venue in Boonville, NC. They just had their first wedding there last month so Jessie and Tanner were one of the first couples to get married there! I already have another wedding scheduled for next year and I can’t wait to see the barn again.

Jessie and Tanner started dating 8 years ago. They were set up by mutual friends. This wedding was a culmination of so much love between the two of them. It was a wonderful day to be a part of.

Jessie and Tanner’s proposal story is one of my favorites. Tanner first asked Jessie to be his girlfriend back in 2010. They were on top of the biggest hill in the pasture of her families farm.

They say the view is gorgeous from the hill. You can see Pilot Mountain and the rest of the Sauratown Mountain range from up there. You can even see the house where Tanner’s parents first met.

On January 17th of this year (coincidentally my birthday), Tanner and Jessie hiked up to the top of the hill. It was snowing, just like it was when he first asked her to be his girlfriend. Tanner got down on one knee and asked Jessie to be his wife. He had the ring for awhile and waited for the snow to make it the perfect proposal.

If that doesn’t tell you how amazing these two are together I can tell you a little more! Jessie and Tanner are a perfect match. They are calm and positive and they lift each other up. They are also best friends. They don’t just love each other they really like each other too!

We started the day in the bridal suite with Jessie and her girls. Jessie was calm and ready to see Tanner. She did her own hair and makeup for the big day!

Jessie had some perfect details for her wedding day. I loved all her jewelry, especially her diamond earrings and the pendant that she attached to her bouquet. It was her Grandmother’s and it matched her wedding colors perfectly. Tanner also had some awesome cufflinks with fish on them that his Mom had given him.

After photographing the details I hung out with Jessie and the bridesmaids while she got ready. Autumn went to the groom’s room in the Silo! The guys were playing pool and even blindfolded darts! Luckily, they were plastic darts.

The forecast was calling for rain and severe thunderstorms. There were even flash floods warnings! Soon after we arrived the clouds parted and the sun came out. It didn’t rain once that day. After all the rescheduling for Jessie’s bridals and their two engagement sessions they deserved this amazing weather. You can see Jessie’s bridals here and their engagement session here.

Jessie and Tanner’s first look took place under some trees on the property. Since it was so sunny we had to find some gorgeous shade. Jessie and Tanner were so happy to see each other. After they hugged Tanner took Jessie’s hands and led them in prayer.

To begin their ceremony Copper, their “best dog”, walked down the aisle. He was pretty nervous about his parents getting married! Jessie and Tanner stood together surrounded by family and friends inside the barn overlooking the land.

When they were introduced at the reception Tanner walked in and twirled his bride! Jessie used is a pro at twirling. These two are adorable together and their first dance was intimate and beautiful.

Jessie and Tanner finished the night by dancing, laughing and exiting under sparklers. The next day they headed to Savannah for their honeymoon! I know they are having some well deserved relaxation right now.
