Biltmore Estate Wedding- Walled Garden, Butterfly Garden & Conservatory
Where do I begin? Erin and Tim’s Biltmore Estate wedding was incredible. Erin has been dreaming of a princess wedding since she was a little girl. A ceremony and reception in the Walled Garden, butterfly garden and Conservatory made that dream come true.
Asheville is one of my favorite places in the world. It was an absolute dream to photograph a wedding at Biltmore. To top it off there was a phenomenal vendor team and the BEST bride and groom!
Erin and Tim met years ago while they were working together. He moved on to another job but he ended up with Erin forever! They have been dating for 8 years and were ready to take their next step.
I swoon over their proposal story. Erin loves old churches. When Erin and Tim were vacationing in Key West they were looking around an old church. Tim thought it would be the perfect place to propose to Erin!
I love old churches too. I told Erin I would love to travel and photograph historic churches and make a book out of them. Maybe I could start with their proposal church!
Erin and Tim are a fun, relaxed couple who love their friends and family. They are the easiest people to photograph and they love each other so fully. Tim calls the forehead to forehead pose the “money shot” and I think should call it the Tim and Erin from now on. You can see how deep their connection in every photo.
You can check out lots of the Erin and Tim pose here on their engagement blog. We were blessed with amazing sunny weather during this session. These two are literally glowing in the pictures!
Their wedding day started at The Inn on Biltmore Estate where Erin and the ladies were getting ready. There was music playing and smiles everywhere. Erin was full of nervous excitement and everyone was happy.
Erin had a sweet gift laying out that she had given her Mom. It was a handkerchief that said “to catch your happy tears on my wedding day…” She was right about the happy tears. We all shared a lot of them.
After the girls got ready Erin and Tim shared a romantic first look at the Inn. Erin and Tim’s happiness was so infectious. There were lots of tears and laughter shared.
After the first look we headed to the Walled Garden for bridal party pictures. Everyone was just living in the moment and really soaking up the beauty of the day. It could not have been more perfect.
When I say were blessed with good weather that would be an understatement. The weather was sunny and bright for most of the day. Right before the ceremony the clouds came over which worked out perfectly.
Their ceremony site was arranged in the gardens so that you could see the Biltmore Estate in the background. It was a stunning sight to see. Erin walked down the aisle with a blusher veil covering her face so that Tim could lift it when it was time for their first kiss!
The best part of the ceremony was unplanned. Immediately after they exchanged rings Tim’s phone began playing his ringtone, a Chris Daughtry song. It was hilarious and luckily it was the groom’s phone and not someone elses!
After the ceremony we headed to the estate to get some of my favorite pictures of all time. Everything about these two fit perfectly into the Biltmore setting. My favorite pictures are of Erin twirling where you can see her pink shoes and Tim and Erin kissing with the mountains in the background.
As we were walking back to their reception site Tim told Erin something about having the wedding fit for a princess like she always wanted. Tears of joy started streaming down Erin’s face and we all became one big puddle of mush. I still cry trying to tell the story.
Their reception was one for the books! It was an intimate wedding with some of the most fun people. I even got to hang out with one of my couples who marry later this year. Shout out to Lauren & Jonathan for recommending me and I can’t wait to see y’all tie the knot.
Erin & Tim it was an honor to photograph your wedding and to get to know you both. I will call you my friends from now on! I know you are having an amazing time on your honeymoon and you deserve it. Thank you again for trusting me to capture your memories. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
